Help with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps

Issue: In Defender > Settings > Cloud Apps, I don’t see +Connect Apps.
I am a global admin and want to ensure Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps is Enabled. 

Solution: You need to have full version of Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).

Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB):

Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (formerly Microsoft Cloud App Security) is a specialized solution that falls under the category of Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB). It's designed to provide enhanced security and control for cloud services and applications. Key features include:

 Cloud App Visibility: Gain visibility into the cloud services being used in your organization and monitor data usage patterns.

 Threat Protection: Detect and respond to threats related to cloud services, including suspicious activities and unauthorized access attempts.

 Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Implement policies to prevent sensitive data from being shared or leaked through cloud applications.

 Conditional Access: Enforce access controls based on factors like user location, device health, and behavior.

 Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with regulations and industry standards when using cloud services.

 Integration: Integration with other Microsoft security solutions, such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Information Protection.
